Learning Material

The Education Centre at the Bioeconomy Science Hub is a platform dedicated to making the bioeconomy accessible to everyone. As part of the University of Hohenheim’s commitment to sustainability education, it offers a wide range of learning resources developed for schools, universities, farmers, and the general public. Many of these materials are based on university-led research and projects, while others are curated from trusted third-party sources.

Key Features:

  • Multilingual Learning Resources
Most materials are available in both German and English, ensuring accessibility for a broad, international audience. Topics include:
    • Sustainable bioeconomy principles
    • Circular bioeconomy concepts
    • Agroforestry and land-use systems
      • Diverse Formats and Open Access
The Centre offers content in a variety of formats—videos, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, MOOCs, books, and more. Nearly all resources are freely available and intended for a wide range of users, including students, educators, researchers, policy makers, NGOs, and lifelong learners.
      • Interdisciplinary Approach
By combining knowledge from agriculture, economics, environmental science, and beyond, the materials promote a well-rounded understanding of how the bioeconomy works and why it matters for a sustainable future.
