Joint declaration on soil protection in the Stuttgart region – sign here!

Our regional soils are important!

As part of the EU project HuMUS (Healthy Municipal Soils), the Ernährungsrat StadtRegion Stuttgart e.V. (Stuttgart City Region Food Council) and the Bioeconomy Office at the University of Hohenheim have drafted a joint declaration on how we can better protect land and soils in Stuttgart and its surrounding area in the future while also improving their ecological value.

In this context, this declaration is a measure to join forces with 30 other regions in Europe within the HuMUS project for the future protection of soils. By signing the agreement, we want to demonstrate to the EU that we are working together in and around Stuttgart to protect and restore soil health and also to influence local decision-makers on land use.

The declaration aims to bring together regional and local policymakers, stakeholders, and citizens to form a vibrant community that cares about the health of our soils.
