ReBioBW - Potential of agricultural residues for the Bioeconomy in Baden-Württemberg

The ReBioBW project is currently recording the potential of all existing side streams from agricultural production and the first processing stages in Baden-Württemberg in order to show how they could be used for local resource utilisation in a sustainable and circular Bioeconomy.

BioBeo - Innovative Education for the BioEconomy

The project ties in with ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) activities in Baden-Württemberg, but is geared toward bioeconomy education throughout Europe. Many materials, such as comics and a game, as well as a bioeconomy curriculum, are already available. Starting in January 2025, there will be small AI education elements for the youngest children.

CirCulTex - Circular urban cultivation systems with re-usable textile growing substrates

Urban agriculture makes a variety of contributions to sustainable urban development in the growing Bioeconomy. However, usable open spaces are often scarce and the growing media used, especially for soilless cultivation methods such as peat and rock wool, are not sustainable. The aim of this sub-project is to develop a reusable textile substrate for hydroponic and terrabioponic urban cultivation systems, including suitable cleaning processes. Textiles are light, adaptable and stable. Therefore, textiles have great potential as a growing substrate for urban areas.

HuMUS - Healthy Municipal Soils

As part of the EU Soil Mission (Horizon Europe), the Healthy Municipal Soils (HuMUS) project engages municipalities and regions as soil managers in many European countries to protect and restore soil health. Through transdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder methods for planning and coordination, HuMUS promotes social innovation, communication and participatory approaches for better soil health.

Really Hempful! Platform

This project focuses on the creation of teaching materials for vocational schools about the hemp value chain and networks. As part of the project, two vocational schools will integrate the teaching materials (handbook, podcasts and curriculum) into the classroom. In the end, the students will develop business models that will be presented to a broader European public.

Path2Dea - Paving the Way towards Digitalisation Enabling Agroecology for European Farming Systems

The aim of the project is to develop a better understanding of how digital tools can be used sustainably to shape the transformation towards an agroecological agrifood system. The focus is on a participatory approach that involves all relevant stakeholders in order to jointly develop sustainable solutions.
