Achieving more together

As the University of Hohenheim's guiding theme, we understand “bioeconomy” as a holistic concept for a sustainable, energy- and resource-efficient economy. Networking between researchers, industry, and society is particularly important to us. Here you will find all information on bioeconomy research at the University of Hohenheim as well as opportunities for cooperation within our extensive network. Our Education Center offers information material for school work as well as for adult education.

Our raw materials database is available to members of the university for various teaching formats. Find out about the current bioeconomy projects at the University of Hohenheim here.

We offer new services in the area of application submission for students and employees of the University of Hohenheim. We have put together various relevant information packages for you, which are available for download at any time. For funding applications, for example, we have created short summaries that are already formatted and lengthened for applications and can therefore be incorporated into an application without much further adaptation. You can access them using your Hohenheim user ID.

The transition to a bioeconomy is one of the biggest economic, social, and environmental challenges facing the European Union in the coming years. The European Bioeconomy University is an alliance of eight leading European universities in the field of bioeconomy. It aims to tackle this enormous challenge by training a new generation of European experts, promoting relevant and responsible research projects, and transferring knowledge to society and the economy.

Networking people and projects from science, the private and the public sectors is one of the keys to a bio-based economy. This requires common goals and cooperation. You can find our current project partners here.

The Bioeconomy Lab Forum is the place for scientific exchange and networking at the University of Hohenheim. The virtual format is offered at regular intervals to all interested parties. The forum is managed by the Bioeconomy Office. Hohenheim residents receive announcements about the forum via "kurz-gemeldet".
