Call for Evaluators: DP-FOBI Doctoral Programme [24.06.26]
The University of Eastern Finland invites experts to join the evaluator pool for DP-FOBI – Doctoral Programme for Advancing Forest-Based Bioeconomy, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions co-funded doctoral programme.DP-FOBI brings together multiple disciplines under the shared theme of forest-based bioeconomy. The programme covers a wide range of research areas, including:
- Forest Sciences
- Chemistry and sustainable technology
- Geography and geoinformatics
- Public health and clinical nutrition
- Business
- Law
- Language, linguistics, culture and translation
We are seeking experts from these and related fields to join our evaluator pool. Joining the pool does not involve an immediate commitment but allows us to contact you when evaluation needs arise.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking scientific experts from relevant fields, with at least the level of an experienced postdoctoral researcher. Applicants should have experience in supervising doctoral theses and a strong understanding of academic research and evaluation processes.
Evaluation Tasks
Evaluators may be invited to participate in either application reviews or interviews between September and November 2026.
Tasks include
- Application review:
Assessment of applicants’ merits, CVs, motivation letters, and a two-page MSc thesis summary using a numeric evaluation form
- Interview stage:
Assessment of applicants’ MSc thesis presentation, as well as discussion of their research interests and motivation, also using a numeric evaluation form
Please note that research plans will not be evaluated, as applicants apply to predefined research topics.
Honorarium
- €20 per application
- €100 per interview

All evaluators will receive detailed instructions and access to a recorded training webinar.
